Strategic Advisor | Food Choice Architect | Culinary Nutrition Leader

Chavanne B. Hanson is a visionary leader at the intersection of nutrition science, behavioral design, and culinary excellence. With a career spanning over three decades, she has become a preeminent voice in corporate nutrition strategy and food systems innovation, consistently transforming how global organizations approach employee well-being.

Most recently, Chavanne spent seven years as the Food Choice Architecture and Nutrition Lead for Google’s Global Food Team. During her tenure, she pioneered the application of behavioral science and "nudging" within the workplace, creatively designing dining environments that made the healthy choice the easy choice. From cafes and teaching kitchens to large-scale events, her work redefined the user experience for Googler’s worldwide, proving that nutrition science and culinary delight can—and should—coexist.

Prior to her impact at Google, Chavanne served as Assistant Vice President and Senior Public Affairs Manager of Nutrition, Health & Wellness at Nestlé SA in Vevey, Switzerland. In this global capacity, she bridged the gap between public health goals and corporate strategy, managing complex stakeholders and shaping wellness initiatives for one of the world’s largest food companies.

Today, through her boutique strategic advisory, Nourishing by Design, Chavanne leverages her deep corporate and public health expertise to help forward-thinking organizations architect their food environments for optimal performance. As a Registered Dietitian with a Master of Public Health, she champions the principles of Purposeful Portions, Sustainable Nutrition, and Joyful Food Experiences—proving that when food environments are designed with intention, they become a business’s greatest strategic advantage.
